Project Save The World Study Group: Deliberate on Issues of Great Social Importance

• published Feb 07, 2026 • last edit Feb 07, 2026

Are you concerned about: War and Weapons?…Global Warming? Cyber and AI?…The Global Economy? Governance and Human Rights?

Then consider joining a Project Save the World Study Group to discuss that problem. If you’ve read a transcript of our recent AI Inquiry, you‘ve seen what our deliberations are like. Here’s what else a study group does besides talk:

• A study group meets by Zoom for 2.5 hours quarterly, about a month before our newsletter, Peace Magazine, is published, at a time chosen by its world-wide registered members.

• All members had been following publications and videos about their problem area.

• At each meeting, they deliberate about current developments and prepare a 500-word report for publication as a page in the upcoming Peace Magazine issue.

• They also recommend topics and guests for future forums about their problem area.

• Once a year, they collectively review and update the “Overview” essay on their website page.

• They plan the annual PSTW “Inquiry” for their working group to help organize, selecting topics and assigned readings for all the participants. Each annual Inquiry is open for registration without charge to all our paid Substack subscribers and PSTW members who speak fluent English. Each Inquiry meets in five consecutive weekly one-hour-long Wednesday lunch hours: Global Warming — March, early April; War and Weapons – May, early June; Economy – July, early Aug; Governance and Human Rights – Sept, early Oct; Cyber and AI – Nov., early Dec

Adequate participation for a study group requires about one hour of preparation per week, though some may spend much more time on the problem. No expertise is required. Groups are best if their members have diverse interests, backgrounds, views, and sources of knowledge.
