Shortly after our April-June issue went to press, we learned of the death of Hanna Newcombe, a long-time friend of, and contributor to, Peace Magazine. You can read Metta Spencer’s appreciation of Hanna here. There is also an obituary by René Wadlow in the current issue.
Hanna’s brilliant work, both as a peace researcher and a creative thinker, can be seen in some detail at a site created for her by Peace Magazine staff: http://hannanewcombe.com.
Editor Metta Spencer attended the City of Newark’s peace education summit in May. You can read her report here.
