Professor Eric Fawcett, a University of Toronto physicist and the founding president of Science for Peace, died at home in September, surrounded by his family.
Known world-wide, both as a researcher and an activist for peace and social justice issues, he was a good friend of Peace Magazine.
He participated in Pugwash, the International Peace Bureau, and a number of scientific peace organizations.
