High school teacher Jacques Brodeur, along with several of his colleagues, has been offering media literacy programs throughout Canada to about 100,000 elementary and secondary students per year. The presenters use a video (available in English and French) and ask the students to express their own views about "toxic programming" such as racism and sexism. Anyone concerned about the prevalence of "copy-cat violence" can contact Brodeur at 418/649-8888 X 3122, by fax at 418/649-0673, or at <brodeur.jacquest@ceq.qc.ca>.
